HData Compliance: Our Latest Updates

Written by HData Team | Jul 18, 2024 3:19:37 PM

To provide users more control over elements of filing and to help improve workflows, HData has introduced several new features to Compliance. These enhancements make it easier to import data, provide greater control over imports, and alert users about potential data discrepancies.

Import Template Updates

HData’s import templates facilitate the automated XBRL tagging of FERC form data. For Form 1 and Form 3Q templates, Schedules 399, 400, 400a, and 400b have been revamped to be more visually consistent with their respective FERC schedules. These updates make it simpler to stage values in the template, resulting in an easy and accurate data import.

Added Control for Schedule Imports

When importing templates, users have the option to import one, some, or all schedules in a form. While many organizations prefer the flexibility to import all schedules, some need greater control over specific schedules. You can now restrict the ability to import all schedules in a form, allowing for more control over who can overwrite schedules.

Additionally, each schedule in a form can be assigned a status. For schedules with a status of Review 1, Review 2, or Complete, data importing can be locked to prevent changes from occurring while documents are in review or have already been reviewed. Users who do not have Owner permissions for a schedule or document cannot change the schedule status to a previous stage.

These settings can be changed at the account level by your Customer Success Manager.

Alerts for Shared Fact Changes

A shared fact is a single XBRL fact that appears in multiple schedules of a form. When a shared fact is being edited, the user will now receive a pop-up notification that this value is reported in other schedules. This flags that a discrepancy will exist between the multiple locations where this fact is present in the form, which helps users avoid recording different values for the same fact, and catch this potential error before validation.

Email Notification for New Form Access

When a new form is created, the person who creates the document is considered the Owner. No other users have access to the document unless it is granted by the Owner. Now, when a new user is granted access to a form or schedule, the user will be notified via email about which document they can access. Note that this feature does not add new users to the platform. It simply notifies existing users of new permissions to a form.
